NAAFE is seeking individuals and institutions interested in hosting and organizing our ninth Forum in 2023! Interested individuals in any region of North America are encouraged to apply. NAAFE Forums are typically 2.5 days long and may focus on a wide variety of subjects related to commercial and recreational fisheries, aquaculture, marine resources, seafood demand, markets, and international trade topics.
An important goal of NAAFE Forums is to provide a venue for presentation of high-quality research on the economic analysis of the complex issues and policies that are shaping the present and future use of marine resources and related industries. NAAFE encourages broad-based participation from academia, government, industry, NGOs, and other professional groups to ensure engaged and informative discussions with a variety of perspectives.
Interested parties are encouraged to contact NAAFE President-Elect Chris Anderson ([email protected]) and NAAFE Executive Director Kat Goetting ([email protected]) to request Guidelines for Forum Hosting. Proposals should be submitted by email by 15 July 2021. The NAAFE Board of Directors will review and discuss proposals with a goal of selecting a site/organizer by September 2021 (and subsequently signing an MOU).
